Angkor in the Moonlight

One of the most magical moments amidst the grand creations of the Khmer people was staying at Angkor Wat after sunset....and wandering its halls in the moonlight. Miraculously, I was the only person there [probably, because they formally close the temple at the sunset].....a sight unseen. I watch in amazement as the lotus-like "buds" of the towers extended their peaks to the pale face of Selena and as the mighty lions turned into powerful silhouette guardians of the staircases....
